Biography
I'm Tim Blake, musician and sound engineer based in Wellington, New Zealand.
These webpages are for my personal music recording project, De-Motivator, and blog, which contains music content and political writing, on such subjects as Fox News, CNN, MSNBC, conservative and liberal politics, and a range of comments on philosophy and life.
Included are examples of film sound work, and I'm available for sound editing and recordist jobs, boom operation, and other tasks.
I have graduated from NZSM (New Zealand School of Music), worked with my sister Rose Blake, and others such as Peter Wolodzko and Emile Guy. I also have youtube videos.
What I'm About
I'm a fan of heavy metal and rock. This isn't always clear by my music, as I don't sound exactly like what I love. I have had a range of projects, such as Quarry Mantis, the Plutonic Chronic, and DJ Static, which display various aspects of my musical ambitions.
I partake in song-writing, production, film work and composition, progressive and experimental music, heavy metal, rock, and a host of other pursuits.
